Clinical Analysis of Secondary Deformity of Primary Cleft

Abstract
|

|
Secondary repair of cleft lip and their nasal deformity may be required even though a good primary repair in infancy has been obtained. The diversity of secondary deformities following repair of cleft lip and nose is striking. the deformities reflect the wide variety of surgical techniques used to repair the cleft lip and cleft lip nose. Litter is known bout the size and shape of the normal cupid’s bow and philtrum-yet these are the areas where we are trying to achieve a normal look without knowing what normal is. And we are too ignorant about the manner in which these distorted tissue grow and what influences these patterns of growth.
During past 5 years from 1974 to 1979, we experienced 74 patients who had secondary deformities of primary cleft, treated them with various methed and obtained satisfactory results. hereby we represent our cases with a review of literature.
